About

Answers, not a pile of links.

16 apps built with AI coding tools, filed against the 51 well-known products they replace. 18 of those products have an answer today. The rest say so plainly, and wait.

Principles

Four rules
  1. 01

    One question, answered either way

Every page asks "is there a vibecoded clone of X?" and answers it: yes with the alternatives, or not yet with what a clone would have to get right. A gap is a useful answer, so gaps get pages too.

  2. 02

    The vocabulary is curated

Listings can only claim a product that already exists in the catalogue. That single constraint is what stops a directory from dissolving into ten thousand near-identical tags.

  3. 03

    The data is the project

Listings are plain JSON files in git. Anyone can fork the repository, add a file and open a pull request. No account on this site, no dashboard, no database.

  4. 04

    Paid is always labelled

If money ever changes hands for placement, the row says so, the placement expires on its own, and it never displaces organic results.

From pull request to page

  1. 01

    Pull request

A listing lands in the repository, saying what it replaces.

  2. 02

    Validation

Zod checks the file and the product, on every push.

  3. 03

    Build

Astro turns the listings into 80-odd static pages.

  4. 04

    Serve

Files on a CDN. No runtime, no database, no API keys.

Built with

Astro static output Zod one shared schema Git the actual database JSON generated at build

Client-side JavaScript is a couple of kilobytes: a theme switch, a filter and a copy button. Everything else is HTML and CSS.

Follow or fork

MIT

New listings go out on the RSS feed. The whole directory lives in the repository, and it is MIT licensed, so you can fork it and point it at a different niche.

Run your own

It is a static site, so hosting is a folder of files. Point it at a niche: vibecoded iOS apps, vibecoded games, your own town, and change one value in src/config.ts.
